ALKAI’s Custom Mapping Services can provide a high-quality, wide range of custom maps with overlays of project current specific information not generally available. Our custom mapping overlays include full color, high-resolution aerial satellite imagery, and photography and LandSat multispectral scanner data. We create custom data for your project from digital orthophotos, field GPS data collection, cad conversion, LIDAR (Light Detection & Ranging) surveys, and analytical models. ALKAI offers high accuracy topographic mapping created with state-of-the-art laser altimetry known as LIDAR. Overlapping patterns are flown and a seamless mosaic is processed using advanced algorithms to remove vegetation and structure to produce bare earth elevation modeling. The vertical accuracy of elevation models can be developed to an order of one foot with horizontal mapping to within 1’:12000’. Terrain modeling can identify Flood hazards, Shorelines, Soils, Wetlands, Geologic areas, Pollutant dispersion, Volumetric analysis, Routing models and Visual Impact Studies.
