ALKAI Consultants, LLC provides in-depth well-defined construction project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) that ensures construction work is completed to meet or exceed the requirements of the Plans and Specifications of each project. MS Project 2002 software is utilized to define project scope and critical time lines to ensure timely critical QA/QC participation.
QA/QC includes good investigations to make sure all types of measurements are accurate; (the absolute true value), reproducible (precise; consistent), and have a good estimate of their uncertainty. In the regulatory arena, correct data collection is as crucial to the final outcome of a project as the numbers themselves. It specifically involves following established rules in the field and lab to assure everyone that the sample is representative of a site free from outside contamination by the sample collector and that it has been analyzed following standard QA/QC methods. This typically involves comparing the sample to a set of known samples (calibration standards) for estimating accuracy and by replicating the measurement to estimate its precision. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) federal agencies provide standards and specifications of the technical aspects of a Quality Assurance Program (QAP) and creating a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP).
Proper (QA/QC) protocols are essential to the every project and therefore ALKAI’s staff go to great lengths to try and ensure the accuracy of all data. Quality Assurance is a particularly important component of any program that measures environmental data that is required to be reported and becomes available to the public. Data for these types of projects is confidentially collected by ALKAI staff, transported to independent laboratories complete with certified Chain-of-Custody Manifests to closely follow all EPA requirements. All results are carefully reviewed prior to reporting to ensure that both method of collection and analysis has met all required standards.
